phones still quite thermally constrained for high powered chips vs ipads and macs though. m4 in a phone wouldnt get much actual performance unless they made phone much thicker or radical engineering solution to cool it. there are rumors they working on this but still not gonna be as good as physically inside a larger device.

If you don't like what Apple does, there is a vast market of alternatives. That Apple is able to have monopoly level profits from mass-market products shows that the market has spoken, and it like what they do.

Honestly, I think something like Apple Vision Pro in a more $800-1k sunglasses format replaces phones completely. Phones as we know it today will be a rare 5 years from now. IMO
